Mike Hunt
maffff I expect anything I say to be taken with a pinch of salt and considerable amounts of scepticism. I also don't want to publically undermine either myself or those that provide me with slightly privileged information [there is a hell of a lot I don't put on twitter]. I've said a few times I don't get a lot of new names or breaking stories but can often find out what's going on and get updates on situations from there.

Those that I know in person alongside a couple of people that are genuinely 'ITK' who I bounce things off of and use as extra verification sometimes know where I get information from and seem content enough to share things they've heard and provide them extra confirmation of.

Anyway, now I've made my spiel, feel free to tear this apart and tell me to fk off. Please? I'm 4 posts in and yet to be given the HNA? treatment.

Well there you go Mafff is a sensible poster whose info is usually spot on and all you fukcing idiots do is abuse him.

Glad you got the welcome you were after.

There's an interesting difference between the information you share and some others who claim to be "ITK". Maybe it is actually the knowledge that is different, or just the attention seaking that others seem to crave in exchange for the knowledge. If you know something but cannot reveal it then fair enough.
Others seem to want to say "I have information but I cannot tell you, but when it is public knowledge you will wet yourself with excitement and I will tell everyone that I knew all along."

I'm assuming that most of this ITK knowledge comes from journos as the club seems fairly tight, however I suppose it is possible that RFC talk as much as other clubs but that it is "off the record" as opposed to the Harry Redknapp style of "I don't like to talk about other clubs players but of course we'd love to have him at our club".
From what I can tell most of the stories in the papers come from agents, but some papers take a bit more effort to find out if there is any truth in the stories than some others.

A lot of people forget the football industry is unique, nowhere else works quite like it. It's often very informal and extremely fast paced at times. May have info on something happening and a few hours later that be completely outdated. A lot happens verbally and most clubs / chairmen know and trust each other to do business on a sensible basis....

If the ITKers really were ITK after all I will be the first to apologise.

The press articles this morning saying he had gone to Spurs looked very believable at the time.

I still cannot see why sitting on the bench at LFC would appeal to him so still hoping he will choose us after all.

FFS Why would he be sitting on the bench at LFC??????

He has 15 goals a season in him from midfield - maybe more with the service he will be getting. Stop deluding your self.

OK then clever clogs tell me where he fits in the LFC first team. They don't play like Swansea historically and if BR does what he did at RFC he won't make Christmas. He WILL NOT be able to build a team round Gylfi in the way that we and possibly even Spurs could. If Gylfi goes to LFC I could see him back on the left wing! or as I said more likely on the bench.

...much like when he talked up Josh Mceachran..got him in at Swansea from Chelsea on loan ..and dumped him on the bench..apart from one FA Cup game .....he made 3 other appearances as a sub ...

Two reasons. Pavel was a 'done deal' but now rumours its off including amusingly from those ITK and more evidence that gylfi is going to Tottenham ... Oh and mariappa was all agreed....

TBF it's not their fault if they say a deal is on, when it's on, and then there's a problem which means it doesn't happen.

On Pog, it's very clear there was a deal close to fruition at one point, so if it now falls through that just shows that their info is good, because they got that first too.

a deal being in the works and then falling apart is not the ITK'ers fault.
