Lol @ Graham if he goes to Sunders days after their fans were chanting "Danny Graham, you're nothing but scum".

I'm sure they'll drop their opposition to the move when he starts finding the back of the net.

"As soon as I heard about the interest from Sunderland I didn't even have to consider any of the other options that were on the table," the 27-year-old told the club's official website, safc.com.

"I was born and brought up in the north east so I know first-hand the intense passion that people have for their football in this part of the world - it's special and there's nowhere else like it."

What with the Hooper and Austin deals looking more and more unlikely would it be worth going back in for Graham?

O'Neill brought Graham to Sunderland in January but now he's gone and Graham didn't exactly pull up trees in the games which Di Canio was in charge.

I can't see him available on the cheap when he still has three years on his contract left, so no.

He went there for about £4m plus add-ons (£5m deal) so they wont be asking for more than what they paid if they deem him a failure. Austin is a similar fee, and Hooper more so, so IF we were interested in the other two, then fee wise we shouldn't rule it out --- but I don't believe we were interested in either at those prices. Perhaps it's the pessimist in me, but I still suspect a lot of our 'interest' is good PR.

With Hull signing Jelavic and Long could Sunderlan take him back and send him to us? Could be a good option...

Wouldn't you say we need another type of forward than Graham? I can't see him giving us anything different to the Pog or Alfie. (I exclude Sharp for the same reason.)

I wonder how many of the 'spend big' mob have run a business and would actually dig deep themselves. Sixth in the league seems pretty good to me given how apt RFC are rallying in the second half of the season.
