Ian Royal Presumably you'd prefer someone like Casanova or maybe Hitler to manage us.

66-1 and 150-1 respectively on oddschecker.

Ian Royal I didn't say it was fluke. I said it was a near perfectly executed way for a slightly inferior team to win the league. Which is totally different.

But obviously we weren't inferior, because defensive solidity and mental strength are two of the factors which one would use when assessing the quality of a team, rather than minor matters to which one might refer when seeking to explain why a team perceived to be "better" was as a matter of fact not better.

He would know how to organize a proper attack!

Yep but it would stall in winter ...

Yes with his record in the east I would fear for us when we travel to Norwich.

Also McA would have to fear the worst - didn't he regularly kill off his generals?

On the other hand if we won the Champ next season, he could be trusted to organise a great procession around Reading ...

Likes a lightning quick attack, but for some reason he thinks old men and boys make a good rear guard.

Bring in some tall strikers for our aerial bombardment. Peter Crouch or that German centre forward Hermann Goering!

When they do badly they can all sail off to Argentina under new identities and pretend nothing happened

Gunny Fishcake I'm reliably informed , and believe Nigel Adkins will be appointed the new Reading manager in the coming days . My source is close to to rfc directors and has been told it'll happen before the Arsenal game . This is passed on with the full knowledge that it could all be bollox but I do think it will happen .If not I'll eat the humble pie in isolation during my three month self inposed exile from HNA .

For what it's worth I think it's a good appointment ........if it happens .

Looks like I'll not have to go into exile 8)

Clue being eventful day!?!? Could mean his car broke down, won on a scratchcard, encountered road rage or all them things!
