Barry the bird boggler Nice to see us setting our sights according to our budgetary means. Says it all really.

To be fair, you're reaction is based on a report on a website which isn't neccesarilly accurate. I bet you said the same when we brough in Stephen Hunt from Brentford on a free from league one, and Kevin Doyle for £70k and Shane Long for what was it, £25k from Cork City?

My only doubts about this player is his age and if he isn't good enough from the off, time isn't on his or our side for him to develop, and we don't need another Mooney on our hands.

It's very foolish to rubbish the lower league players, some of which are very good. Lest we forget that much of our record breaking Championship winning squad was made up of these 'unambitious' signings.

Bit odd this one.

He played for my home club Newport County down in the lower leagues (even lower than Crawley) and failed miserably
though big things had been expected. He then went to the league ABOVE us then (Salisbury) and became a God
now Crawley, and maybe the league. Funny how things work out

No,no,no,no,no another bloody pipsqueak.
He is on exceptional wages for somebody playing in The Conference-more than he got in a short spell at Bournemouth.
Forget it.

Tubbs used to work with my mate when he was at Salisbury. They're still in touch, I'll see what he says...

I've seen Crawley a couple of times this season and he is neat on the deck and knows where the goal is but not got enough extra about him to make our league.

Think league 2 is his top level.

M-U-R-T-Y They spent £70k on him? In the Conference?

Crawley Town are the Man City of non-league; Blackpool only bid 30k for Bradley Wright-Phillips

and I don't think any Blackpool fans are clamouring for expensive transfers...

thought Tubbs looked ok yesterday - although maybe because most of the other players were dire - inc Derby

sure the commentators mentioned some of Crawley's other big spending transfers which were a bit
