Put this in trash please.

Talk of this signing makes everything wrong about takeover! (but I don't believe it for one minute)

I want Zaha, Rhodes, what next Ravanelli?

themadstad Wow what an absolute waste of £20k a week and all because he is free.

Thought the possibility of Young was bad enough now this.

Better this for one season rather than £6m on Rhodes and a MASSIVE gamble, or Defoe who would cost £6-7m plus £3m a season...

A Rhodes that could potentially score 20 goals or more in Championship and will then be out of reach for us. He'll cost more and there would then be plenty of clubs after him. He may not though but you get the idea.

Agree to pay £20k a week for a player that's scored a few goals in the last few years. Defoe we might as well forget because that would be silly money on wages.

£1m a year in wages but it's ok because he's free, I can't see how he's good enough to warrant this. Hasn't been good enough in Italy.

Pippo Inzaghi - One of the best strikers in the world over the last 20 years.

Would be a great signing. Look at how Roberts transformed the club, then think about how the younger players would idolise Inzaghi for his fantastic career.

That's all it can be for because he's now nowhere near that level and hasn't been for a number of years.

In terms of name it would be quite a site but also the is most likely just another rumour.

Aspettando l’offerta ufficiale, scritta. Tu chiamale se vuoi, tentazioni…

Seems odd by unofficial I guess they mean over the phone or paper talk.

I fear the club may get more benefit from having his name on the back of a shirt than actually having him in it.

Happy to be proved wrong.

Will be funny he realises his £1M gross a year only gets him just over £10k a week take home.

Not surprised he's 38, he and Del Piero have both been 38 since 2003.

39 in August - would that make hime the oldest outfield player in premiership

But for one season why not - remember everything we do is aimed at ensuring we finish 4th form bottom or above - even if just scored 3 or 4 at crucial times he'll have played his part.

I hear Roberto Bettega maybe available.. :)

Seriously this feels wrong... Yes we want to stay up, but really a 39 year old who has played all his football in the slowest league in Europe and has been well past his best for a while now... If he was 34 i would take him, but he's living on old headlines... NO!!!! Yes we need some experience at this level, but stick to the club philosophy and sign players yes with some premiership or top European experience but keep to players who are still hungry and not either (A) just in it for a fat pay cheque to finish their careers or (B) have been serially relegated from the premiership...

If he doesn't take up the coaching role offered by Milan he'll go back to Atalanta.

Watford's new owners, the Pozzo's will buy decent youngsters in the hope of selling them on for a profit if they run that club anything like they run Udinese. I think it's very unlikely we'll see him over here.
