After the Kitson signing flopped its club policy not to resign players now, hence why we haven't gone in for Gylfi. Absolute non starter this.

just no, not after the disrespect he showed us with that sideways ... backwards move. He is forever a mug in Reading history

No way I would want him back if as reported he is on 40K per week and we have to pay the lot.

He could just sit in Leicester reserves for the next three years and pocket 40K a week, but if he is desperate to play and if Leicester released him on a free and he agreed a 50% pay cut as part of the deal (all very unlikely) - then perhaps, but otherwise it would be a no from me.

How many yellow and red cards has he picked up in the Championship? Then consider the problems he will encounter up against PL strikers. Then consider how formidable a partnership Gorkss and Pearce were this season. Is it really worth a punt? Then throw in the possibility of Mariappa signing. Would Mills really be a necessity?

FinchOwl
Toon Toon Blue army And I would rather keep our current CB pairing with Cummings as cover.

You think Cummings is good enough to be CB cover......in the prem?? Wow

Morrison would be better cover than Cummings

I was wondering how many bookings he'd had this season too as I consider him a yellow card waiting to happen. Having just checked soccerbase, 7 yellows and 2 red cards, plus 1 goal, from 31 games. Throw in his inconsistency and other issues already documented and it's a big no from me.

Did you look at Mariappa?... He's 7 yellows, 1 red and 1 goal from 42 games (coincidentally against Leicester)...not much difference then eh? - just sayin'

loyalroyal4life Get's on with the players (always see him out with jem, hunty), knows the area, no need to get used to things. For £1m why not...........

Because he's a thick kunt with no self-control and a petulent streak a mile wide.

Funny how one season can skew things isn't it.

Look at their careers and you get quite a different impression.

Games / Goals / Yellows / Reds
Mariappa: 247 / 4 / 20 / 2
Mills: 226 / 15 / 47 / 7

So Mills has more than three times as many Red cards, more than twice as many Yellow cards, in fewer games. Having made his debut a season before Mariappa and never having played in the Premier League.

I know which one I'd want playing up front out of the two of them. But I sure as hell wouldn't want Mills in defence.

Mills will mature into a VG CB.

Now might be the perfect time to buy. His career COULD be sliding, but RFC-McD could save him and he will know it.

Maybe get him for a Mill, maybe a year's loan, even better. Connolly LB and CB cover for the other three or 5th CB if we get Marriappa.

Celtic trying to get Matt Mills on a 12-month loan deal after Leicester knocked back a swap deal for defender Kelvin Wilson.

I'm not sure I would want Mills back. There is always this idea that he left us to go to a 'bigger' club with more chance of promotion (his opinion, not necessarily mine!). Obviously, we can't say what went on at Leicester but the move has really not worked out for him. There is a part of me that goes if it's a decent price and he has dropped the big i am act then maybe. However, there is also this big part of me that has an over riding urge to go 'WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH Premier League Premier League!!!!' but as someone else said here once in Brian we trust.........
