attacking midfielder
I can't see us playing a system often enough that warrants us signing an attacking midfielder. We could play McAnuff or even McLeary in that role in the odd game that Brian feels one is necessary, perhaps.

we need to score more goals than we did last season. if we get an attacking midfielder i believe we could probably score a lot more. he would score goals, and open up goals for our strikers which will hopefully include defoe now.

maybe, but there is a really good chance were gonna conceed a lot more now that were in the premier league anyway. with some of the defensive signings were making or linked to we could pull it off now that we have some quality.

The only way we can play an AM is to play one striker. Anything else would be a disastrous case of suicide. We might score more, although we'd have bugger all of teh ball so that's debateable. We'd conceed a truck load more for definite. It in no way fits in with Brian's ethos either.
