melonhead more difficult than you think

the road to stamford bridge is littered with the corpses of players who went there thinking theyd take over the world, and ended up never playing

not literally

How much is this guy worth (ignoring the release clause ?)

If he is actually worth 15m, it may be worth a punt of 8M + 6 months wages and then sell him should we get relegated with a tidy little profit - smart, self funding deal!

Why Chelski would buy this lad when they have 18M quids worth of talent with Lukaku is beyond me.

He would be way down the pecking order at Chelsea, I imagine we won't be the last club to be interested… I expect an imminent move to QPR to be next in the headlines

Guillem Balague has put on twitter we were prepared to pay the fee but wanted to pay it in 3 instalments, which celta weren't happy about. Not most reliable source but he knows his Spanish football.

Guillem is friends with Brian, and usually has some platitude or other for our 1 or 2 good results :P

This is interesting... would be a pretty good signing. Haven't see much of him to deem whether he'd be worth £8m but people are saying he could be worth more.

Anton dipping into his pocket after seeing hope (possibly) restored?

It's not like we have spent any money on players this season, and we do need of a decent striker hopefully we were saving it all up for a special occasion…

Seems that Swans and Chelsea are planning to wait until the summer as they don't want to pay the 10million euros transfer, would be a big ask but hope we can just suck it up and stump up the cash - might be the only way we get the drop on the other teams for this guy. Even if we do go down, there's a good chance he'd go for a decent profit at the end of the season.

Yeah, I think we just made, as usual, a cheeky bid. If it came off though It'd be a Ramirez to Saints kind of capture though.

Good chance of him being worth more than £8m in 4 months if we go down? Really?

Just talked to someone who definitely knows. Reports in Spain of Valencia offering clause fee for CFC and SCFC target Iago Aspas NOT true.

Hope this guy is right! He is convinced its not true according to his sources and works for the Daily Mirror.

Why care at all? You can't seriously think this lad, "the next David Villa" is coming to Reading?
