Let's hope Anton matches the might of finances seen in the summer and January to keep good players from leaving.

Yeah, right.

Players who want to go will go.

TBF we should get good money for The Pog if he does exit. Isn't he on a four year contract?

I'm torn about Pog. I can't help but think if we'd built a team around him he'd have done well this season. But then if he's not adaptable, he's got to take part of the blame. A goal every other game is a good return, especially for a struggling side, but his all-round play needed more.

Good player who could be very useful for us indeed, but is anyone seriously surprised that he'd be first out the door if we get relegated when he's the best paid player in the squad on upwards of £35k a week?

Wouldn't surprise me if he has a relegation clause in his contract, so if this is the case can he leave on a free?

Not on a free, but that we let him leave for a couple of million yes.

No one in their right mind puts a flat release clause for relegation in a contract. It's insanity.

You don't think we've suffered from his suspension then, I take it?

And if we had used him in the right way, I am sure we would have all realised his value :x

Oh right. Just seems like he's a fair bit better than Noel Hunt, and we might have done better recently if we'd played 4-5-1.

Actually it seems like he's the only player in the team who can reliably hold the ball up, which is just as well considering he's often the only player in the opposition half.

I said this much earlier in the season, but I shall repeat now. I asked someone I worked with who watched him all the second part of last season as she supports Fulham. She said he was good for them because he liked through passes, balls played to feet, turning at defenders and was quite good at allowing their midfield to get up with play. Anyone see the problem yet?
