On the face of it, underwhelming but his record n the lower leagues is excellent and it's hard to judge a player on a handful of substitute appearances in a team that's devoid of creativity and losing for fun, particularly when you factor in the fact that he scored in his only start.

Lots of pace and directness which we lack so if we were to sign him, I'd be more positive than when we loaned him last season.

I would like to see him back with us next season. As others have stated he has something we desperately needed up front, pace and directness. Ever since long left we have been crying out for that. It's no coincidence that we looked very dangerous in the game he started (v Derby) and managed to get an early goal. Would be a shame to not get him back imho.

Mixed feelings. Seemed a pacey threat who could do some real damage if he could get his finishing to click. That's a fairly large 'if'. But despite being the only option available to bring any flair and inspiration to our forward line, he was barely used.

If Clarke wasn't going to use him when he was a loanee and we were desperate, I don't see much chance of him signing him and making him an integral part of the team. And there's no point getting him as back up IMO.

Looks like Appiah has done his cruciate while training with Ghana so won't be coming back

He is reported as having an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury that could need surgery and mean six months or more out, he could sit with Ferdinand in the stand. Hope for his sake the injury is not as bad as reported. :(

Shame. Only saw him against Derby, but looked to have something we seriously lacked. Maybz we can snap him up in January.
