It wasn't that he wasn't good enough for the first team. Stekelenburg left last season because he thought he was too good for the Championship. The only reason Fulham don't want to keep him is because he didn't want to play for them. Hence why he went on loan to the third best team in France last season. I would love it if he was to come here but somewhat unrealistic and would probably want a hefty wage.
