Agreed. Shame he didn't see it that way.

Does this make you feel like poor relations? This and Fulham and Bristol City splashing cash bidding for Gayle, and Burnley buying Gray.

The Sheffield Star are reporting that Sheffield Wednesday have held talks with Norwich City striker Gary Hooper over a season-long loan deal.

It has been suggested that the Championship club would pay a £500,000 loan fee and cover the 27-year-old's £32,000-a-week wages.

CountryRoyal Really? That's the argument you're going with?

Why don't you give me a list of reasons why you wouldn't want Gary Hooper at the club and why we should persevere with the current crop that have been banging them in then?

I never suggested we should persevere with what we have, I just don't think that Gary Hooper would be the best fit for us.

1. (As I've already stated) his goal to game ratio is only marginally better than pogs at the same levels.

2. Expensive as oxf*rd for what he is

3. Neither prolific nor pacy

When we were after him initially agreed, but not now.

JIM Our choice of goal scorers seems pretty inept. pog now SA 100% failures Who dropped the mirror last but one season. cause it certainly is working.

He's played 5 oxf*rd games.

And he's failed in all of them!!!!!!!!!!

Hooper's built his career off that 19 goals in 35 games for Scunthorpe. If we can get him to hit that form for another couple of seasons, £500k will be great money.

I would like someone a little different from Sa and Pog though.
