Smoking Kills Dancing Doe He could sanction £20m to rebuild the squad.
What difference would it make?

Streets Without him where would we be, I know. But we're no longer moving forwards. In fact we seem to be going backwards now and the signs are good that he will put the money in to take us forward once more.

Forgive me, but isn't the point of art and owning art that it's something you like to look at? Why would anyone need to ask someone's opinion before buying it? If you like something that costs £500, buy it. You don't have to buy a £5m piece just because you can afford it.

I think it's called investment, the value of the painting may go up or not.....

Royal Lady Someone asked this recently, but I'll repeat it, why do some of you insist on saying that he wears a wig - he so obviously doesn't!! He might dye his hair, but that's about all.And if he wants to spend all his money on art collections that's entirely up to him. The money which the Football Club has received in merchandising, ticket sales, television revenue, appearance money for the pre season matches in that Asia cup or whatever it was last season - THIS should all be going straight back into the club - on wages, bills etc and PURCHASES.

Arch Transfer money will come, if at all, from money that is currently circulating in the club. there'll be at least one current account that should have a fair amount in it already from (probably modest) profits from the last two years and from sales of Kitson and Shorey. JM can't take that money and buy art with it except in the form of a dividend that the board approves and all stock holders vote on. Then it'll appear in the company records next July. The kids who started this thread are utterly clueless.
The 17 Bus JM had to put in a loan on £2m to sign Lita.

Spot on, 'greed with that. Especially the last sentence. The 17 Bus JM had to put in a loan on £2m to sign Lita.
Lita cost £1m. Unless you're including wages, signing on fees, agent's fees?
