not enough to be a selling club. Who did we sell to clubs higher than us the 10 years previous to those two?

It doesn't matter about the 10 years previous when football is played in the NOW, today.

We are barking all the sounds of a selling club. Not looking to invest, complaining about parachute payments, squads big enough, etc, etc, etc

I take it this year won't count when we don't sell anyone who isn't completely surplus to requirements?

Depends if anyone comes knocking for one of our stars doesn't it?

The past is fact, the future is speculation Ian, things may or may not happen.

Well I'm happy to go out on a limb and say we won't lose Sigurdsson, Federici, Kebe, McAnuff, Tabb, Mills, Church, Howard or Hunt.

Who I would say are our most important players.

I can see two of that list leaving, especialy if BR gets a new job at this level.

How many decent offers did we actually turn down though?

We're a selling club, but one that's pretty good at maximising what we get for players and we don't just sell willy nilly but make sure we get a good deal. We still have to sell when the price is right though...as do most other clubs too.

I would however be concerned that he may not settle down here, hasn't he predominantly played for Yorkshire clubs?

lol, moving from north to south is not like moving to Iraq from windsor m8.

Doesn't matter, we've seen in the past how it can affect players - i.e. Scott Murray was only moving from up the M4 at Bristol and he never settled and it showed in his performances in the end unfortunately. Same is happening now with Griffin deliberating over a move South from Stoke.

lol, selling club mate. Comes as a shock to no one.

Forest, Cardiff, Sheff Utd,etc they are all buying clubs. We are a selling club.

Forest have sold plenty of talent over the years and Cardiff are a club that many vultures are currently looking over at the likes of Chopra, Whittingham, Bothroyd and Ledley

He was scottish mate, not having that. He never settled because we played a different style than bristol city. I'll give you griffin though.

Wouldn't call united a buying club mate. We've sold every player we've ever had that was any good.

Sharp would do a good job, although hopefully blackwell might get the sack soon and we might get an manager that can utilise the decent players we have.

 How long was he at Bristol City for? He lived in Bristol and even said in interviews himself at the time that he was struggling with the move down from Bristol

Yet he left us and still wasn't the same player he was when at Bristol City. City got the best out of him and flogged him at the right time.

lolz!! You're having a laugh if you are thinking geography had anything to do with his performances. He struggled as our formation and tactics were different, he never got the ball early enough to run into space.

Rumours are he's either off to Burnley or Wolves (in some sort of swap deal for halford.)
