He did say hope to sign. Looks like one is about done. Can we fight off Hull? Good thing is that NA knows Hooper and if he scores a load in the champ and we fail he can still move on. He is still young. Depends if we can match Hull's offer.

I think early next week we will know more on Hooper. If we sign him this site will go into meltdown. Still think we are outsiders...

ddetisi Still feels more like a Chronicle advertising ploy to me.

A rumour that was on the fringe of being plausible is suddenly a sensational double swoop.

If it's true I will buy a copy of the chronicle.

But surely Chronicle wouldnt go with complete bullshit must be credibility somewhere? (hopefully)

Yes newspapers making stories up never happens.

Gary hooper tweeted today from what looks like a Costa del Sol golfing complex and others have said he's been there for a while.

I think the chronicle may have spotted him at the Madjeski. It just may have been a couple of years ago.

For my further criticism of the paper, if it's true, i will buy TWO copies.

Was he wearing a Gary Hooper Halloween costume? The Chronicles claim that he was at the Mad Stad is my concern. That article it the catalyst that has kicked everyone into overdrive. They did the same for Mr Rhodes.

Is there a sell on-clause for Scunthorpe?

To be fair the story says "The Chronicle understands Hooper met with Reading's representatives earlier this week"
Nowhere does it say that it was at the MadStad, and it wouldn't be the first time RFC have travelled abroad to talk with a player.

Personally I doubt the story, but we shouldn't twist what is being reported.

Yeah the Chronicles twitter feed said he was spotted, but they were probably just bouncing off twitter rumours.

Because the fabled HNA meltdown is a prophecy written in that time. It was said that when Hooper hath signed, ye meltdown shalt begineth.
