Assuming we have signed Drenthe. Would like us to sign someone that can play in the hole(attacking midfield) a number 10. And a top striker e.g Hooper. That is where the money should be spent in my opinion. Maybe some more cover at centre back if Pearce goes.

So what you heard? Being that 'hearing rumours about Gylfi' could cover just about everything related to him, it does leave a large scope for possibility.

I wouldn't be surprised if Drenthe played in the hole. He's been given no.10 which suggests a more direct role.

In all seriousness I know a Spurs fan who reckons it was a done deal if we'd stayed up. But Gylfi doesn't want to end up slumming it back in the Chump. So there's a gentleman's agreement with Hammond that he'll sign for us in January if we're in the top four. He thinks that'd basically guarantee him PL football the next season. In the meantime he can kick his heels on Spurs bench picking up wonga.

I know someone who owns an apple phone, and he reckons that Apple are going to buy Microsoft and IBM and Dell and Samsung with all their spare cash. He must be right, he really likes Apple.

My point being, what beyond him being a fan, makes him likely to have accurate, sensitive information like this?

Would so love for it to be true, though not as much as us signing now.

My personal thoughts though - will never happen. I'm likely to be right as my mother in law used to work for Iceland

If we could sign a top striker Hooper/Austin/Rhodes etc and maybe add some more creativity to the midfield, i would be happy :)

So far we have bought two real class players and have overcome the Pearce contract obstacles. Anton intimated that we were looking at up to five more players. I really like where we are going. O.K. We may have a few unwelcome bids from teams who want to pull our best players away but, they will be Championship or Premiership-relegation teams. Given our signings so far, why would anyone leave us (unless we want to get rid of the wages)? One can only salivate over who may next come into the club.
