Wycombe Royal I have heard that it is Portsmouth dragging their heels as they are currently very short of players and won't let anyone leave until some players have been brought in.

Yes 'Arry has said exactly that. This one will drag on till the end of the month and will only be done if Pompey get cover and/or if Shorey or Hunt move on.

Considering Bolton have already agreed a fee for Taylor RFC need to act pretty quick if they do want to get him.

They accepted one from Sunderland too. Taylor doesn't want to move to the frozen North. Has a house in Oxfordshire.

Both those clubs agreed fee but he doesn't want to move up North & awaiting Reading to have talks.

I also thought reports have named two clubs with bids accepted but state that there is a 3rd unnamed Prem club who have also had a bid accepted.

Pompey currently only have 14 outfield players available as a result of the ACN and injury so can't see them letting anyone go until they get bodies in to cover.

Stranded- you always set the record straight and i like it, you're like the clever older brother who listens and takes in everything!

For the record Reading and Pompey agreed a fee a fee weeks back but since then it's gone cold for whatever reason which is why Pompey don't mention them when releasing details of fees agreed with clubs and you all know that Reading will not release info to the media unless it's beneficial which in this case it isn't!

TAYLOR WANTS READING MOVE

Matt Taylor could join Reading later this week after his wife was reluctant to move to Bolton or Sunderland, Football365 understands.

The left-footed Portsmouth midfielder underwent a medical with Reading on Monday and now must wait for Harry Redknapp to give the green light to a move.

Bolton have also had an offer accepted by Portsmouth for Taylor, but he does not want to move his family from their Oxfordshire home.

He must now wait for Redknapp to bring in new faces, with the Portsmouth boss admitting this week: "Matty wants to leave.

"He wants to move and we have had a couple of clubs in for him.

"But I can't sell anyone until we get some people in.

"As soon as I get some people in who I think will improve the team I will think about selling him.

"Until then, he won't go. Whether he wants to go or not is not important to me."

Slinky
Dangerous
Ian Royal Still can't see this happening, though I'd have no problem with Hunt and a specialist right winger for the right. Would certainly spell the end of the Bobster IMO.

I'll hold my hands up if it does happen Slinky.

Everything is in place, it's RFC dragging their heels on this now, Matty is ready to sign on the dotted line.

I was just going to post exactly the same thing....come on RFC get your finger out - they must have some doubt over something otherwise it's in the clubs best interests to sort it out quickly!
Wages a problem?

It means that I saw Zamora in the Madejski car-park this morning having a good ol' chinwag with Robbie Fowler in a manner that suggested that they have both agreed terms to form a new strike partnership at Reading. I also saw a disgruntled Nicky Shorey hopping into his car, clutching a test tube filled with a substance that looked suspiciously like urine, and accompanied by a man who looked an awful lot like Sir Trevor Brooking.
