Wherever FL is getting his information, be it just scouring twitter or having a contact or two that feed him little titbits here and there, his amalgamation of information is reasonably good most of the time.

I think he was wrong about the clubs 'smokescreen' about Watford rejecting the Mariappa bid (as I'd heard they had from a reliable source) but there's no shame in that as it probably just means his sources were behind the times a little on that one.

Generally though there's some interesting information coming through, which is good in some respects. I'm not a big fan of the tone it's delivered in at times but that doesn't mean it's not correct information on the most part.

Some Palace fans seem to think we've been in talks with them about Zaha but can't agree a fee.

ZacNaloen With FL we can't assume any rumour he posts is a sign of a signing being particularly close as the rumours usually start early in proceedings. This is why compared to gazzerloyalroyal for example he has less hits. But what he has got right and with the detail he has suggests more than just a WUM.

He never seems to post rumours though - just comments on ones started. Never dismisses them or says they're a nailed on cert (which I appreciate very few do) - and always leaves the door open for a quick exit, often exploited (Sigurdsson, Defoe, Rhodes, Sigurdarsson, etc etc etc - all 'fees agreed/bids submitted/talking to player - the then we find out there was nothing in the rumour whatsoever and he changes the story.....

Would be happy with signing Zaha he has great potential but i think he could also add a lot now. he offers versatility playing up top or through the wings.

Zaha's always appeared to be a bit of a cvnter. If we sign him I hope I'm completely wrong.

I post very rarely on here these days, and more so on Twitter, but I called Mariappa, had mentioned our offer for Long to several posters via PM months ago, but didn't run with it on board as was asked not to; and I had several pieces on the takeover, including almost word for word a statement the club made a few days after I put it on here, as well as having a heads up on an article the Daily Mail were running on Chris Samuelson some two weeks before it went to press. I've also added numerous bits and pieces to other potential ins and outs; some confirmed, some didn't happen. Whether you choose to believe detail I add when I hear it is up to you, but it makes no odds to me whether it is criticised or welcomed; and of course you have the option to block me on here if you so wish, and the same on Twitter if you bother with that. I'm fully aware mentioning interest in players that cannot be backed up leaves the door open to criticism, but again, it makes no difference to me whether you believe it or rubbish it. I get absolutely nothing out of lying; nor do I check back in for the replies. In fact most of the time, I speak to people on here that I either know and/or trust via Private Message, or in email/DM. What is proving a little tiresome however, is people like you who don't seem to think I can post an opinion; and everything has to be something I've heard. First and foremost I'm a supporter, and I like to share my opinions as anyone else here does. It really shouldn't be so difficult to distinguish from the two. Re: always leaving the door open to change my story - where? If I'm wrong about something then so be it. The fact the media didn't pick up on our discussions with Hoffenheim and Gylfi Sigurdsson doesn't mean it didn't happen; but if you're a dedicated Sky Sports News/GetReading fanboy then of course everything they tell you will be the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, etc.. You're more than welcome to choose to believe we didn't speak to Defoe as well. Again it can't be proved, but others on here who don't usually stick their neck out also backed it up. Again, GetReading didn't print it so it can't have happened though. Rhodes is one we're still working on. GetReading haven't ran with it, the club haven't confirmed it, it can't be true.

Palace fans have backed FL's teaser that we might be in for Zaha with saying we've spoken to them but they think they want too much for him. It's looking more and more likely we'll miss out on Rhodes and Zaha. Hopefully there's some possibility in getting Longy back, otherwise I can't see where this other striker that we need will come from. :|

The day FL said Barton had signed for Fleetwood is the day he was exposed for just feeding off rumours from other sites etc.

Not buying any of it. Got lucky with Mariappa via another source and that's been about it.

If it happens then it happens. If it doesn't then it doesn't. If someone says something is going to happen then what does it actually matter if it doesn't materialise? What have we actually lost?? Do children die because of it??? Am I missing something?

Clubs have talked and we have suggested a fee we would be prepared to pay, but no official offer has been made.
