winchester_royal Perhaps we could get Lee Cattemole in exchange (maybe on loan)
Just a thought.

Roger the Rabbit The piece does seem to rather miss the point that until we have accepted an offer Harper doesn't have a choice to make !
First we have Derby crying becasue a club refuses to sell them a player at less than their value and now we have what seems to be an assumption that two Premiership clubs can form a cartel of sorts to pinch a player at less than their value.
Luckily we always pay a fair market price for the players we acquire.

rotherwick_royal Newspaper talk probably but apparently Boro and Bolton have done a deal to ensure they don't pay more than £3m....

At least hardly spending any money in the last 2 years means that we don't have to sell. They can take a running jump if they don't meet our valuation.

After Arsenal take their slice we will only make a profit of a 1.6 Million or so and may be hard to replace Harper for that. I say tell them to get stuffed unless they will pay at least £4M.
That of course assumed he does want to leave - he seems the loyal sort and may well decide to stay at RFC for another promotion push.

PEARCEY Not convinced Harps would want to go oop north. More chance of him leaving if a Southern softie team came in for him.
I reckon he will stay.

Would you want to live in Middlesbrough? I certainly wouldn't! I have to say that their style of play would suit Harps a hell of a lot better than Bolton's - although maybe he's the kind of player Bolton need?
