I know why you're pleased but I'm not sure it will be that good for you.
It was only when McDermott came in and built the team around him that Gylfi prospered. He'd shown flashes of what was to come before that but the manager at the time, you might know him from somewhere, displayed no inclination as to how to use him properly within the team. I hope for Swansea's sake and the sake of Gylfi's career that Rodgers has learnt his lesson and is more than just a profiteer from Roberto Martinez's work as many suspect.
lol
Seems Rodgers was the one to nurture Gylfi...do you know anything about your own team? But you're right, it's going to be really difficult to slot an attacking midfielder, with top long range / dead balls skills, into a 4-5-1 in a team that plays a little more than just hoofball
Sousa took us back a number of steps whilst Rodgers has taken us past where Martinez would've been with us by now. Look at how Wigwam are doing...
Just a little jeaLOLous that your ex-manager and ex-best player are now with us eh?
Apparently our manager doesn't know anything about our team either because Brian just made the same point about Rodgers inability to play Gylfi in the right position when he was here on the radio ("I just hope the manager there plays him in the right position this time"). He's also got a pretty low opinion of your d1ckhead fans the way they behaved after the Play-Off final btw.
You just missed out on the Play-offs under Sousa so he didn't do too badly. Do you actually know anything about your team?
I hate your manager but don't dare suggest I'm being negative towards that lad. I wish him the best of luck and hope he can get a move to a bigger and better PL club after his loan move. If not maybe you can sign him and give us the 40% that we're owed for his next transfer.
You were actually a good and fair poster on here last season but it seems mixing with the big boys has given you a smug sense of superiority. Good luck for the rest of the season you play good football and I hope you stay there.
P.S. I'd much rather have a good honest man like Brian McDermott managing my club than a big head like Brendan Rodgers.
You have been chewing a wasp today! Some rather odd comments.
1. Please explain the rather odd comment Re: our fans at the play-off final. Not heard a word of this so called 'behaviour', there has certainly been nothing posted on here, and I suspect you're still crying over the loss. We have some nutters as do you, I've seen both, and I suspect it's little more than a little post-match teasing. Grow the oxf*rd up man.
2. BR even seems to be a little jeaLOLous if he really said that... Grow the oxf*rd up man.
3. Finishing out of the play-offs with Sousa was a complete failure under the draw specialist Sousa. One of the reasons he left but perhaps you didn't notice this with your head up BRs ass. Grow the oxf*rd up man.
4. No smugness. Just a retort to your sad on-going hatred of BR. Seriously confuses me why there are still so many of these on here...? A Reading man failed, made a number of mistakes, was a bit too cocky but IT WASN'T AS THOUGH HE DID IT ON PURPOSE a la Burns, McGee etc... Grow the oxf*rd up man.
