Whitleyroyal Rest assured, I have now spoken with Buddha, Jesus and Mohammed (Random Tuesday night poker game) and have been told this will happen before the end of this week!

How about that for sources!!

Not true. I have never played cards with this person!

“The owner has done an enormous amount of work on it,” said Hammond. “It’s credit to him that we’ve managed to have a conversation with him (Sissoko).

“But a player that experienced and with his calibre will not be rushed into a decision.”

I agree that it's quite something that they even got this chap into the Madejski, but im still not convinced that they even believed they had a chance of signing him.

The fact that they're publishing this in the public domain must mean they are quite confident that a deal has been reached.

Or that a deal won't be reached but they want the fans to know we tried hard to get him.

Or that a deal could be reached.

So anything really.

I am sure I read somewhere he will give an answer one way or the other within 48 hours.

Until then it's Schroedinger's transfer saga.

I don't think he'd be chatting in the press advertising that a player we wanted was roaming around the country looking for better offers if it was still uncertain. He knows one way or the other.

Good signing if true but won't solve more obvious problems.

Wow - you're about 2 days late with that comment. About the same amount of time that RFC were late getting the deals done this transfer window.

Why. The. oxf*rd. Would. We. Talk. To. Him. If. We. Didn't. Think. We. Could. Sign. Him.

Since when has the club given a oxf*rd about pandering to the peanut gallery?

The whole thing's a thought experiment to demonstrate how Quantum scale rules don't work on the Macroscale?

We don't fucking need him but at least we think we can sign him. His signing on fee will be large, he will not be on a pittance and that signing on fee with those wages will take up money that we could use to sign players we do need in January. Frankly he appears to be another name player "gift" that the owner wants to sign on the manager's behalf whether he's wanted by the coaching staff or not.
