Reading have enquired about the player, what exactly is there to get in a tiz about? Iif Swindon have any sense they will wait as long as possible before making a decision and do as much haggling as possible.

He's got a point ...if you saw McD on the Football League show on Sky, I dont know if it was possible for him to get his tongue much further up his boss's arse....if you look at the league we need to be careful that we dont start thinking that we are better than we really are ...6th position one day can be 12th the next...

McD does not have the balls to challenge the chairman regarding a DECENT transfer budget...so instead he "licks his arse" to the media.....he cannot honestly say that he's had the full support of his chairman can he?????????????????????...i guess if it means him getting the job longterm, he can say anything :?

Yeah, what McD should have actually done is slagged off his boss on national TV, and then tell the whole footballing world we are in the market for a striker....

I am of the opinion that everything McDermott says which relates to SJM in any way is designed to squeeze as much money as possible out of him however little that might be.

There is no point in the Manager doing anything other than speak well of the Chairman when asked directly but I think some of his indirect comments have been designed to try to slightly embarrass him. The fridge story from the early part of the season and McDermott's very recent comment about our not being in the market for an expensive striker were in my view two such examples. Whether they work or not is very debatable of course but I certainly found them cringeworthy.

As for Austin I assume we enquired about the asking price and once established found it was out of our price range so not worth making a so called derisory bid like we did with Tommy Smith.

Fingers crossed on this, genuinly feel that a goalscorer to partner Long is all we are missing from being realistic play-off/promotion contenders

Brian McDs hands are tied, he has a certain budget and unless he allows other players to be sold he has no more money, end of!

LMAO! What about two years worth of prem tv money, full houses, merchandising and since 25 million or so worth of outgoing players and a current squad amogst the lowest paid in the division?

Thats a lot on wages, we must have been paying the likes of stephen hunt and james harper more than frank lampard and john terry with your logic.

Ok, so that would account for how much out of the 25 million + player sales and the x2 40 million tv money amongst all the other income. We would seriously have had to be paying players on a par with chelsea, why wont they tell us how much the players got?

Im sorry, it seems like the club are going to be using this excuse for the next decade.
