James Beattie is subject of a £3m bid from Premiership rivals Reading.
Beattie is keen to return South with the Royals leading the chase for his signature.

Andy Cole and Liam Rosenior will be unveiled to the Reading public and media in the next week.
Cole signs for 1 year on a free transfer from Portsmouth, and Rosenior on a 3 year deal for £1.5m from Lawrie Sanchez's long ball merchants FuLOLham.

Steve Coppell has been told he doesn't need to sell anyone, thus meaning Nicky Shorey and Leroy Lita will stay put for this season at least.

And finally, with Reading starting building work next summer to take the 24, 200 capacity of the Madejski Stadium to 38,000 – The football club have also requested plans be drawn up to ultimately fill in the corners (which will resemble Arsenal's Emirates Stadium when finished) taking the capacity to a possible 41, 000 and plans to redesign the clubs 4 star hotel so the West Stand could be build back on, taking the final capacity to a possible 49,000.

...and are also planning to move some fences back a bit so create 20 new parking spaces to meet demand.
