Maguire lol@anyone not taking Sidwell back

im still bitter- he cost us our premire league spot chasing the cash, and has only just started playing semi regularly for a team who arent a million miles bigger than us.

BOOOO steve, BOOOOOO

Consider me whooooooshed.

Sidwell is one of the most honerable players ever to grace Reading's ranks and you Sir are a dick.

He has been playing out wide for WW which is not his position. Plus, sometimes its not just down to the striker, its the delivery you get from those around you. Plus BMcD may know how to get the best out of him.

He would be better than Hunt, Church and Le Fondre; so on that basis yes please. No he isn't ever going to be a high end goalscorer, but his hold up play would be key.

Tbh if we were going to pay £5m for him I'd rather we went and got Sigurdsson for £6m. Still a big yes please though.

I think there is a good chance that Sig will be playing in the champions league next season. He's gone from the likes of us I fear.

Sig won't even be playing for a mid-table Prem club next year let alone an acclimatising new Prem club. Oh, sorry, just repeating what everyone else is saying really.

He was tired and ineffectual for us in the second halves of his last two seasons here, and has been pretty dreadful for Wolves recently - absolutely couldn't-give-a-flying-fuck awful at times. There is a massive difference between the way he plays when he is not scoring, essentially hiding down the wings, and the way Shane Long played through his barren spell last season, busting a gut to get on the end of more chances and miss them. I would hate to see Doyle come back to Reading. We can do way better if we get promoted, and would want somebody a bit more dynamic to succeed in the championship.

Perhaps so, but out of position, in a team facing relegation and poorly managed, i'd think it's fairly demotivating.

I absolutely never thought I would be able to say this but I'd prefer the return of the Long to the return of the Doyle.

This is three times he has become demotivated to the point where he becomes ineffective - doesn't that say as much about him as it does about the current Wolves squad and manager?

Buy Sig for 6 mil.

Bank 4 mil?
