Focher Floyd's Mrs is a Barnsley season ticket holder, and she says he's a pile of steaming horse shit and doesnt know what the fuss is about.

But on the flip side, my neighbour is also one and he rates him highly

Who, Floyd? That's good, he needs a morale boost considering what his mrs thinks of him.

Friday's Legacy Already West Ham fans saying it's a joke signing for a joke club. It seems unless you spend a stupid amount of money they can't be any good... When will they learn?

They are just horrendous. Friday and Wednesday will be the first, second, and only times in my life that I hope Cardiff smash their opponents.

If only we showed some ambition and spent lots of money on signing like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savio_Nsereko

Then the footballing world will start taking us seriously...

Thanks for that! He makes Sean Evers seem like bargain of the century.

I remembered West Ham spending a huge sum on a young foreign player at the end of a transfer window recently and always wandered what happened to him. I had of course assumed that he was shit and they had just wasted the cash, so it is nice to find out the true story.

Focher i love this part of the site, where everyone seems to have seen players like Butterfield play week in week out, and claim he's a quality player. He's been on tv once this season, and the rest are from watching goals on the football league show, so how the F do you know he's a quality player :?:

Floyd's Mrs is a Barnsley season ticket holder, and she says he's a pile of steaming horse shit and doesnt know what the fuss is about.

I'm not sure which bit of that is the most murked.

(A) Seeing someone play VS (B) hearsay from someone's bird

TBM He can do things like this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ApJyRgMZTk

Just watched that. What I like is that he obvs has a rep for long range shooting, as you can hear a coach in the background say: "get to him, he'll hit one". And then boom.

Quality.

Apparently he was Barnsley's captain (until injury). He is a midfield playmaker with an eye for goal and is not short on expertise at dead ball situations either - seems Villa were interested prior to his injury. If this is true then I would suggest that our interest in Gylfi is therefore minimal.

Does this mean we won't be getting Gylfi? :(
Or maybe he'll just be backup fo Gylfi? :D

Look, we were never going to get Gylfi back. When he's attracting attention from two of the top 4 why would he come to us? That ship has sailed.
It probably means we won't be signing Whittingham either, but I'm not too fussed. This signing is very pleasing.

(well, so long as the rumours are all true, anyway).

Gylfi will never move on from us in my mind

IF, IF, no big team puts a bid in for him then his options are pretty much Hoffenheim, Swansea or us. He said he wants to stay in England so that's us or Swansea, and Swansea probably can't compete with us financially. We may have a chance, albeit a slim one. But we can hope anyway :D

Newcastle are hoping to fend off late interest from Reading to sign Jacob Butterfield (right) from Barnsley in a £2m deal.
The 21-year-old midfielder is seen as a player for the future.

Whereas at Reading he'll be more likely to get games - if we beat Newcastle to his signature though that'd be a real coup.

More recycled and lazy journalism. Barnsley value the player at £2m but he is a free transfer and compensation is unlikely to amount to half of that.
