ZacNaloen I'm skeptical that this will happen, but I'd take it.
He's definitely a better player than any striker in our squad and a good age for a loan, but how would be adapt to our direct style of play?

royal67The Rougeroyal67 Sorry to sound negative but is a striker who's scored one goal in 22 league games going to save our season.....??
You don't sound negative, you just sound lacking in knowledge about the game.
Really? On the basis of what you pompous berk?

On the basis that you don't think he would be a good acquisition because he has 1 goal in 22 league games.

GeekinsBooseal McD has said any player brought in on loan must have a decent chance of subsequently signing permanently, so can't see this one happening. Would love to be proved wrong, though.
He also said we were only going to look at Premiership experienced players. He lies, get over it.

windermere_royal what good would it be if we don`t create chances?

So Danny Welbeck, a striker who regularly plays for what could be considered the biggest club in the world, plays for England, impressed at Euro 2012, has played in the Champions League, isn't good enough?
Would you prefer Noel Hunt up front for the rest of the season?
Goodness me, the amount of people moaning about the Akpan deal was oxf*rd dull, but moaning about getting a player that could be the biggest signing in our history. Who will you be impressed with?!
by bigmike » 09 Jan 2013 11:33
royal67 Where did I say that he wasn't good enough?
No, I'd prefer ALF to Noel Hunt
I wasn't moaning..... I was throwing a question out to the intellectual might of HobNob.....
