Snowflake Royal He doesn't send any money, that's the point. The only money the club has to work with is the money it receives in income.

Which us why the Olise money and more recently Selles compensation is allowing us to still pay wages.

yes Ian, I know. I think we all know the shit we are in.

Do you get out much?

edit: please dont reply. Ever again. To anything.

Look leon, it's not my fault if you can't type what you actually mean and then can't take it when someone challenges you on it.

You could always just oxf*rd off back to calling people a pcunt on AE if you don’t like it. Its not like your forays over here add anything

That'll be a no, leon I don't get out much.

Happy Xmas Ian. Maybe 2025 will bring you the peace you* clearly so desperately need.

Oxford in for Knibbs apparently..... though you'd be hard pressed to see where he would fit in there. I know they have injuries, but... when those players are fit again...

And Derby and Hull....

Portsmouth certainly makes some sense, as he would be unlikely to have to relocate. Not convinced he's a Championship level player though.

One positive with Knibbs is his contract expires in 2026, so we're not required to sell him now to get money for him.

Oxford would be a bad move. Sure they're in the Champ now, and probably next season. But they can't compete at that level for long.

Their capacity attendance is barely over our somewhat disappointing average attendance in a lower division.

Hull and Pompey could well be playing L1 next season, though they'd stand a good chance of promotion and he'd get a big pay bump, but probably play less.

Derby is the only sensible choice of those 4.

But Knibbs is a key player for us, with 18 months on his contract, and there's interest in other players. I can't see anyone he'd be wise to move to offering enough to tempt us.

Derby would only make sense for him if he’s likely to be involved on the pitch. Of the four, they’re probably the strongest at the moment.

No point being on the pitch if it's just to return to L1 quickly though

Not if he, individually, plays well in a failing team therefore earning himself a move directly back to the Championship.

I don't think going to a relegation fight for 6 months in the hope of getting a better move in the summer is a great idea. More likely to get a good one staying here.

Obviously money tells, and he's not got lots of time on his hands.

I think most clubs don't want to do much business in January, less they're thinking about next season, they're panic buying or dominoes have fallen. From Knibbs' point of view, it's probably better to assess his options in the summer, but the club may push for him to leave if we get a good price for him.

Though this could do with being copied to this thread:

Who Moved The Goalposts? Heard we turned down a big offer for Knibbs in the last few days, which if true suggests that *something is going on behind the scenes.

And is all still rumour and conjecture and from this side of things not enough to turn down any sort of bid but, thankfully, that's not the bit that matters.

Thanks for moving that morganb!

The club I was referring to is from the lower half of the PL, not the EFL.

Would suggest at least someone at the club is thinking about who we can afford to lose and how much we should get for any individual.

We seem to regularly do business with Palace. So could definitely see Palace coming in for Bindon.

This makes it less believable to me. I question the impact he'd make at a Championship side, let alone PL. Would be similar to when we brought in Blackman and Akpan.
