Sun Tzu
Alan Partridge so we replace a striker with central midfielder number 6? :|

Perhaps we'll do something radical and swap Lita for Watson and then BUY a direct replacement ?

You need to think outside the box AP ! It's not as if we don;t have the money to bring in a fairly useful alternative front man - or even use one of the several very good youngsters we already have.

Would only possibly happen if Harper was to go.

They bring Watson in what do they do with the endless supply of central midfielders currently here?!

Still, we've got Long and Mooney :|

This swap would suit us IMO but I can't see Colin being any more amenable now. Lita and Watson would obviously both have to be in agreement and they might prefer to walk where they like at the end of the season rather than take the swap on offer in Jan.

Or if it was considered to be Gunnarsson's last season, or if Matejovsky moved on.

All sorts of possibilities and these things are often a chain reaction....

Would be a good move for both clubs rather than having the players walk away for nothing BUT unfortunately there is a chance both will say "no" and wait for the end of their contracts. Having said that it is risky for a player to wait - as a serious injury could end their careers with no more money coming in.
