As long as they meet our valuation then fine, that's football, but I hope he doesn't kick up a fuss to leave and then we end up getting less then we wanted. Moxey seems a stubborn kunt.

Sounds to me like Moxey is doing his job. Get over it.

Appreciate that, I just hope Hammond also does his job and sticks to his guns. He hasn't let us down yet and I hope we get what we want for Mills if he does go.

Wolves target Matt Mills is set to meet with Reading manager Brian McDermott tomorrow in a bid to clinch his Premier League dream.

The 24-year-old Royals captain is ready to try to engineer his move away from the Championship play-off finalists in as dignified a way as possible, after returning from holiday on Friday.

Mills, who has a year left on his contract, has been offered a new deal by Reading understood to be worth almost £20,000 a week.

But, although he is settled at Reading, he is ready to turn his back on that to try his luck in the top flight with Wolves, Blackburn and Stoke all chasing his signature.

Wolves still maintain they haven’t had a second offer rejected for the centre-half, although sources suggest the bidding has now reached £3.75million for the one-time Manchester City reserve.

But Wolves are cooling on Liverpool left-back Paul Konchesky, with sources suggesting the deal is now “highly unlikely” to happen.

Wolves, Blackburn and Stoke - hardly high flying clubs - if he passes up £20k a week here to go to one of them, I'll be well cross. AND I won't have a clue who to turn my attentions to as the rest of the team are fugly.

Stoke seem the best choice there.

It's a chance for Premier League football though, one which he might not get again if he doesn't take it this summer off the back of some decent high profile performances.

We'll not be offering him £20k per week either, not in terms of realistic OTE anyway.

Mills is a good player but not that good in my opinion and if Wolves are prepared to pay £3.8m for him and he wants away, then as far as I am concerned it's a no brainer. He has shown in the past that he has an attitude problem so I would be happy to see him go, besides he will be back in the Championship next season anyway.

I don't know what his wages are at the moment - but I wouldn't turn down 20K a week if I was truly happy somewhere - which he has said he is, previously.

But you probably would if you knew you could get £30k a week somewhere else, even if you are truly happy where you are.

To be honest I'd take 3.5 to 4 million for him. While he is a good player he still has much to learn.

Do Doncaster get of anything of any sell on?

Yes they do. Their fans seem to think it is a percentage of sale price (not profit) and they will also be entitled to the Premiership add-ons from the original deal (even though won't have got there playing for us).

I would be surprised if we had agreed a deal like that......

We won't be offering him £20k per week though. If the paper are anywhere near close to what might be happening that £20k will include bonuses etc for a lot of wins, goals and promotion at the end of the season (note the wording of the article, it says we'll be offering him a deal understood to be worth almost £20,000 a week). More realistically we might be offering him £10k or £12k a week basic which I believe will make him significantly better paid than the likes of Kebe.

A move to the Premier League will double his basic I'm sure.

What if you were offered £40k a week somewhere where you thought you might be just as happy? In a role where you would get more recognition for the job you do?
