Sources tell me he fell out with AVB and is looking to leave Spurs as soon as possible, expect the deal to bring him to the vlad stad to be completed within the next 24.5 hours.

Until Focher has confirmed an appointment has been made for Jerome to view a house this entire thread is rubbish.

How can he have fallen out with AVB, he's only been there about five minutes.

TheVeryLoyalRoyal BetVictor have us at 1/1 to sign Defoe
http://t.co/9Im5zaz7 you start to get the feeling he may be about to sign :)

1:1 ...

doesn't mean much - Jordan Rhodest is 2/5 ... wow ... wish I could bet against it at those odds!

would be a cracking signing. i still think wages would be a pretty big issue, unless he was willing to take a pay cut.

we don't have to break our wage structure to sign him, just give him a big signing on fee to make up the difference!

We may well have paid a club record signing on fee for Pog, which to all intents and purposes is the same as a transfer fee. Remember the Sun said a deal worth £60k a week. And we know we're paying him about £35k a week. So that would allow for a signing on fee of £5.2m

but ill the signing on fee is linked to performances, playing, staying up, etc

I doubt very much a signing on fee is based on performances, appearances, caps, relegation etc.

It depends if he sees out his contract. If he stays all of his contracted years then he will receive all of his 'loyalty' bonus. If he asks to leave the club then he won't receive all of this figure or if we choose to let him go to another club without him asking for a transfer then we still have to pay the remaining amount.

Either way. He'd of still been paid a large sum of money up front

@BenPearceSpurs: #thfc Lots of you asking why Defoe's missing from new kit photoshoot. He was given absence that day (last season) as his father was unwell
