He'll go to Leeds before we try to get him.

AkpansBFF Unsure why but I have a sneaky feeling something could happen, more than likely a stupid feeling but if anything was to happen I can only see a season long loan with a view to a permanent!

ok mate, gylfi played in almost every game for a world class spurs side last season. his level of quality will not drop back to the championship (more than likely) until he is 35 and still wanting to play football. dont get me wrong, i would love for this to happen and be reunited with gylfi but truth is he will probably be with the top sides in the world for most of his career, baring some major injury or some major loss of form/skill, or a huge scandal that makes it so no team wants him. maybe if antons plans to establish us in the top of the PL succeed we could afford him again, but until then we have pretty much no chance.

Yeah I agree, just have an odd feeling but I do understand our chances of getting him are 1/452,934,592,221,342,130

You have a "stupid feeling" we might bit £10m for Sigurdsson, and that he may drop a level to come here? Words fail me.

Arnie_Pie This rumour has gone a bit quiet. Surely now as Spurs have signed Paulinho, there is more chance of Gylfi moving on.

Gylfi and Paulinho are totally different players.

Sadly he is more likely to go back to the tramps at Swansea while they are still in the prem and have a fellow Scandinavian as manager. In fact Liverpool could a lot worse than swap jj shelvey and 4 mill for gylfi.

Now if we get back at the first attempt and he spends the year getting splinters in his arse at Spurs, then the dream may be more realistic!

Like I said loan with a view to permanent so if we got promoted then he wouldnt be dropping a level and jesus 10m for a loan stint is a bit much?

No I just feel with us bringing in Bridge, Williams and Drenthe and Pearce signing a new deal Antons stepped up and raised his game... like I said im not 100% stupid and I know we have a very very very low chance of signing siggy when you look at it all properly.

Tottenham have put Dempsey up for sale since their purchase of Paulinho. So its not Gylfi who makes way. So can we just forget it? Now? Please???
