It would be epic, if her returned. Precisely the kind of striker required

Elmo's Park WBA have Vydra, Long, Anichebe, Anelka and Sessegnon (plus youth). According to reports it was Hull that moved the goal posts, hence the transfer fell through. Now, as Premier League clubs cant sign on loan outside the window, he only has 3 options: Stay and fight for his place, move on loan to a lower league or move abroad where the transfer window is still open. So it could be realistic for Reading to make a move for him and WBA allow it.

Isn't part of the problem that Anslka is a basket case and may decide to chuck his boots away at any time

Interesting.

I'd say that Long, Odemwingie and Lukaku were much better than any three of that lot and WBA are currently bottom. It doesn't look good for them and Long must have a good chance of being in the first team again before too long..

The Hawthorns outfit will now open talks with Long about a new contract. He has two years remaining on his current deal.

It won't happen anyway, but talks have been ongoing about a new contract for a while, it's the main reason he wanted to leave, because they weren't offering him what he wanted.

This would silence 90% of the disenfranchised and make us a decent attacking side in the Champ should he stay fit. :)

It wouldn't. They would just move onto moaning about something else. They aren't happy unless there is something to grouse about.

Nothing wrong with striving for perfection.. Asking for more is how you get more. Not that I don't agree that many people on this are moaning gits.

As I stated on rumours - he wasn't even on the bench, so something is going on....
