I'm pretty nervous about how this is going to pan out...
Dont mind maps going as long as the moneys put back in but is McCleary is going too it does look like a mass exodus at Reading.

We were already there!
This window will demonstrate the clubs ambition and commitment to being and establishing us as a Premiership club.
The same was said in January, when we needed to add quality to help stay up, and we all know how that ended, we signed two league One players who were supposed to step into a struggling team and make the difference.
We signed a Portuguese player who added nish to the cause.
Only when the window has closed can we establish how good it's been when you take out who we've sold, and the players brought in. Are they ready to challenge the starting eleven as they are real class, in the mould of Drenthe and Bridge, or are they another hovering on the sidelines as they are ok but clearly no better than what we've got.

I bet Jordan Obita is wetting himself today at the possibility of both Kebe and McCleary going. He should get lots of game time this season if they do.

mikey0406 Mariappa was a consistent performer last year, made up for a lack in height in good positional play and did relatively ok, we will have to get some cover at centre half now, would like to see a versatile defender come in, so a midfielder, striker and centre half could be the positions we are looking into
Short memory. Mariappa got slaughtered for almost half a season. Does no one else remember neville singling him out when ridiculing our defence. He finished well, and was one of our best players in the end. But that is damning him with faint praise.
