rg6royal This is looking promising :)... 45 minutes to go...

Surely loan moves can happen outside of window, so no rush?

Season or half-season long loans have to be started within the windows. "Emergency" loans (1-3 months) have to be outside them.

Dead in the water according to the Sheffield Star

Earlier sources close to United's Brian Howard suggested the former Barnsley midfielder might sign for Championship rivals Reading on loan today.

But that failed to materialise

The Harper part of the deal was never going to happen. We want a fee for him, there would be no point sending him out on loan with one year left on his deal

i still refuse to believe that Harper will be going to you on loan. Rodgers ruled it out last week. If i'm wrong and he's changed his mind, then so be it, but i'm sure if he does go, he'll go for a fee

"i'm not going to lie to you mate. I'm buzzing"

"I'll work my nuts off and be breathing through my ringpiece tomorrow."

I genuinely love him already.

To be fair. Change of scenery and all that, could do him the world of good.

Honestly he cant be worse than Howard has been for us.

It seems like both players need a change of scenery.

TBH I never thought Howard would fit into your team, but as an AM in our style I think he'd prosper.

Good luck for rest of season.

Ignore the idiots on here, blade1. Harper is a very good midfielder. Guilty of to many safe side ways passes, frustrating at times too, but he's a decent player at this level and just needs a fresh start now. He'll be missed if he goes, and he's a great character too.

Harper is very good a passing side-ways and flapping his arms about - he is a very motivated guy though and will be popular in the dressing room.

Hasn't been the same player for 1 and a 1/2 years now. Good move for all parties. I doubt he'll be missed that much TBH. Jem's a better version of him.
