It is now looking highly likely all our striker targets are off elsewhere or are not interested in joining RFC. I guess that will be the end of any decent extra signings. Maybe we will get the odd squad player for back-up but that is all.

The link was announced in February so we've had a whole 10 days of transfer window to sign players.

And anyway, it may indeed end up being a PR stunt but from what I understand, it is more a sharing of methodology, ideas and networking. It's all about expanding the business reach and implementing best practice and a lot of clubs much bigger than us do it. Any link with Juventus would be exactly the same. It seems to be the way Anton wants to develop the club as a business and something that JM, for all his fine work with the club, would never have thought of doing.

Lots of rumours circulating on twitter last night that we're close to a partnership with Juventus. It seems unlikely and there are no links to any articles on it - but the amount of partnerships we seem to be forming at the moment makes me think that there could be something behind these rumours. Thoughts?

This one particular rumour proves that the guys at GetReading don't always go to print with what they know, because they also know we have representatives in Italy at the moment, but not who the club is that we're in discussions with.
