(.)Boobies(.) We are "locked in negotiations" apparently. So, so much for a final offer. Nick Hammond and Brendan Rodgers have done a very unprofessional job on this deal. We now look desperate, and very probably are.

In what way has Hammond been very unprofessional?

Henri Lansbury joins watford on loan - replacement for Smith? Looks like we are not going for the loan signings that we all thought would be the strategy using BR and Lamps' contacts - that is Cork, Cleverley and Lansbury all gone out to other champ clubs this week. I guess we are hoping for some experience to balance what we have left

Where have you got the information from though saying it was our final offer? The only place i heard that is from Getreading, which to be honest their reporting is pretty poor.

I might be mistaken but i haven't heard anyone from RFC come out and say it's our final offer, take it or leave it.

I reckon it's all about the add-ons - I'd bet we're far happier to offer a large add-on fee if we get promoted than to raise the basic fee - and it's things like that which take a lot of negotiating.

Agreed. But what about £1.6m now and another 500K if we go up? So £1.8 now against a possible £2.1m

Bit like saying that you have one bird that will give you a shag but you are holding out for the bird with really big tits. The risk of course is that the reliable shag gets bored and goes home with someone else.

Let's just enjoy SDR imparting information without his usual anti-Madejski editorial. A first in the nine years or so I've been on here.
