LoyalRoyal22 We are in talks for Brad Jones. If we can agree terms with him, he will be the new keeper. Would rather have Wes Foderingham personally

Source?

Impression I have from GetReading today is that Reading are looking for two keepers, one as a senior first choice obviously, and that paying a small fee is not out of the question as the transfer window progresses.

Poor Football League World, like always misconstruing what was said. "Reading manager Steve Clarke wants more than one goalkeeper this summer". No FLW - he's considering more than one option, as the quotes clearly say......

As per usual, you've had a 'mare son.

I'd take Fods here.

:?:

"So we do have a young goalkeeper in place. But obviously we need to bring in at least one experienced goalkeeper and I’ve got my eye on more than one.”"

If he really meant he only wanted just one he'd have said:

"But obviously we need to bring in an experienced goalkeeper and I’ve got my eye on more than one option."

But he didn't.

So saying Clarke wants more than one keeper isn't a ridiculous thing to say at all.

Now Andersen has gone we need 2 goalkeepers!

I am not sure Stuart Moore is quite ready yet.

The inference I got from what SC said was, like maffff, that we're only really after one keeper but have multiple targets in mind.

Don't see why he'd get another if he said he wants to "push" Moore this season.

At the moment RFC are going to Thailand with Moore as the only goalkeeper so Beasant and Hammond could be used as substitute keepers.

David Forde perhaps........... used to be coached by Beasant and since Millwall are relegated he probably needs to keep playing in the Championship to stay in the reckoning for Ireland?
