good point!

id probably rathered we let him go and got a swap for that sunderland RW!

lol, in fact heres a quote from that EP article

EP article Hunt says he is more than happy to stay, especially now that his younger brother Noel is his team-mate following a £600,000 switch from Dundee United last week.

Maybe that is because Roy Keane seems to have come to his senses at last and bought better players than him Nobody else above Div 1 would want to buy him so why not carry on collecting £25,000 per week?.
£5million-I wonder if history will show that to be one of the biggest faux pas ever made by the club last January bearing in mind that any replacement couldn't possibly have done any worse than he did over the second half of the season.

Hunt had 5 goals in the first half of the season. Why would we sell him, to a team who were below us and looked certs for the drop? It may have been our undoing. Hindsight is 20/20. Foresight is not.
And fwiw, Moyes has gone on record saying he wants him.

Most teams in our league are spending money to IMPROVE their teams , we didn't improve ours last season and suffered the consequenses. I think it will be the same this year - no improvement = backward step. COPPELL spend some frigging money and get some players in! This club is beggining to send me barmy ! It's a case of "little" Reading scared to spend big , lets not have another transfer window with no activty....... look what happened last time (last 3 times actually  )

they were saying just that on Talksport this morning - MOST clubs in Championship are making necessary investment - quote " Reading believe they are able to run with nearly the same set up as last season - that could prove to be a mistake come end of season"

Kebe had a very good preseason so far. Thats an improvement on our team without the need for a signing. Convey also having a decent preseason which gives us a second left winger, something we didn't have last season.

Karacan and Pearce impressing, again improving our options. Henry been ok. When you then consider we start ahead of most teams in terms of quality anyway, we don't NEED to strengthern that much with signings.

Left back would be nice though.

Remind me. What did happen the last time we had a transfer window with no activity? I can't remember when that was.

I'm pretty sure we've bought in every transfer window since the rule introducing windows came into being.

I await correction from someone more knowledgeable.

Come on Kebe a risk.

Even Ian ROyal saw how awful he was last season.

In pre season he's looked quick and against piss poor opposistion he's been beating full bakcs.

He can't cross the ball though, which for a winger is a pretty major issue.

People cannot seriously say there is not one right winger out there who we could sign who isn't better than Kebe.
