I remember very little thanks from RFC when he left for a player who did as much for this club, if not more, than Graeme Murty.

I see you forgot what you wrote.

The fact that you can't remember an open top bus being laid on for Marcus is a very weak argument to say he was badly treated.

Sorry if you don't like people putting counters to your arguments. You are entitled to your view and you may wish to offer others the right to express their view, even if it differs from yours.

Glad to see you acknowledge your argument is pointless. You seem very wound up over it though.

What open top bus?

Having hijacked this thread are you going to elaborate on the open top bus that makes my opinion so weak, or not?

Jamie Ashdown will be up for grabs, along with everyone else in the Pompey squad.

According to The Mail he is on 'a free' and wages are £9K a week.

Why do you keep going on about 'hijacking' ? You seem to inhabit a world entirely different from the rest of us.

I'll leave you to ponder the open top bus, although you've never explained exactly how much of a fuss you wanted to be made of Marcus when he left.

Seriously, has anyone with half a brain ever agreed with any of the toss Woodcote spouts?

Even us argumentative tossers like Sun Tzu, Royalee, Wycombe, Schards myself who spout plenty of bollox have fairly smart people agree with us to a far greater extent than this idiot.

Marcus = not badly treated by RFC at the end of his time here.
Federici = not worth £2m
Federici = not better than Marcus... yet
Federici = plenty good enough for this level
Federici = difficult to replace to the same or better quality

I was in agreement that we should have extended the stadium after the first season in the Prem.

Is this the official rinse Woodcote Royal thread? It is rare to see HNA so united behind one true cause. My personal favourites:

- Staying in his car listening to Radio Berks until the teams are announced.
- A mythed antipathy between the East and West stands, one of the biggest rivalries in football.
- Ground expansion MUST go ahead. If only! We could have 2 and a half seats each by now, we could all bring a picnic and a blanket.
- Andy Hughes at left back > Shorey :|
- R8ing Dean Morgan to the extent of actually crowing when he scored during an irrelevant 3-2 defeat to Luton en route to us winning the Championship by a billion points.

True HNA legend.

It's Wycombe Royal I feel sorry for here. I always confuse the two of them.

£468K a year then, at a time when the club want to reduce £4M a year off their OPEX?

I don;t think saving £4 million means we won;t be spending anything.

Especially if we sold Fed !

But I'd agree that as things stand forking out 500k a year for an player we don;t need wouldn;t make much sense.

We would need a good replacement for Fed if he were to leave. I don't know that Hamer or the others could step up to the plate yet. Mind you, I doubt Ashdown would relish coming back either tbh.

I'd worry if we just went with the keepers we've got minus Federici. Partly because I've not seen a lot of them so they're a bit unknown, and partly because what I have seen hasn't been overly impressive.

Why do you think Ashdown would not relish the chance to come back though?

Dunno really - but him going to Pompey and having taste of Premiership football etc, I just think he'd be looking to go to another Prem club rather than back to us (sort of backward step type thing). He'll probably join us now I've said this! LOL.

I'd be surprised if Federici is on £9k a week.
