Good work Reading. We don't need any new strikers considering the muthafukin goalstorm in the friendly last night.

I doubt Norwich are still wanting him if the reports are true that they've had a €10m bid for Quagiarella turned down...

No thanks. I'd rather he went and joined Ched Evans.

Ditto.

Our striking situation is looking more and more like our left back situation in 08. Can't get anyone in until the incumbent goes and he wants to be offski, but he's probably only second or third on just a couple of club's lists so won't be leaving any time soon. Still, we got Armstrong in 08 despite it being left quite late iirc. So it's not necessarily a bad thing.

I wouldn't take too much notice of SSN. They're feeding off of Twitter rumours. I also noticed they jumped on a chaps rumour from the Mirror this morning that Graham was going on loan to Hull and they claimed the usual sky sources told them... also Redknapp when interviewed yesterday after they were announcing QPR were close to signing Hooper, Redknapp said he didn't know where they were with the bid, only that a bid was made... what will be will be, but you can't take anything they come out with as factual until it's got a lot more coverage elsewhere.

We might want to plug it with loans, we might be thinking that if we have one up top and two wingers playing like inverted strikers we are strong, we might be looking at developing youth further.

Who knows.

...haven't you noticed that Harry always plays rumours down and never shows his true hand.....he will always give the impression that nothing much Is going on and is very vague..l guess for fear of alerting others...but in truth I bet there's plenty happening....

It does seem a little interesting that we're yet to play our only two properly recognised strikers together this pre-season... iirc. Taylor and Blackman (who doesn't seem to have any sort of defined role) have partnered them if I'm reading the Wycombe line up right. But then Taylor and Blackman don't seem to have done any linking with midfield. Almost like they were playing as half arsed second strikers.

In the absence of anything real to worry about, I'm a little worried about this.

The Mirror are reporting that the QPR want Austin to partner Hooper. It will be carnage on here if that happens.

The more the Hooper to QPR rumours keep circulating, the more likely it is that he will sign for us I reckon. Adkins clearly has a good relationship with the player and now is his chance to prove his worth and sell Reading to Hooper above QPR. Shouldn't be too difficult for a man of his acumen and persuasion should it?...
