So long as we get promotion as Norwich are also chasing him.

Reading also looking for another proven goalscorer apparently and the standard "not much money will be available" mantra will be repeated whether we're promoted or not

Tried to take him on load last summer. 33 goals is impressive. I expect this is the contingency plan for Shane should any offer put in be too good for the club to turn down. Let the musical chairs begin.

Hammond was keeping an eye on him last night.

Good movement and tight shorts comments were brushed to one side.

Watching him last night, it struck me what a good fit he'd be here. Time and again he hassled their defence off the ball, which is something only a few strikers do. McDermott likes players who harry the opposition, even up front. Hope we get him, but we stand no chance if we don't go up, as Norwich will probably get in there.

We'd have to up the offer of 2.5 mill that Norwich put in for him.

This is one summer signing that I am not getting excited about.

I just don't think this lad is all that good. I don't rate him. Not better than what we got.

Except he's at the end of his contract, so we could give him the full £2.5m.

Scored lots of goals in his career so i wouldnt be disappointed. Seems like a decent physical presence, quite quick and obviously an eye for goal
