Speculation - Adam Federici

by Z175 » 29 Jun 2012 17:53

I've heard some gossip that Adam Federici may be in talks elsewhere. As far as I can dig, the story is only due to Federici suddenly altering some well laid plans for an urgent reason. Thus it may be totally unrelated to a possible transfer.

But given the time of year and his form last year, just might be something in it. If a top club were interested, would we let him go?

To be honest I feel happier with Feds between the sticks than I would with some of the top clubs keepers.

Maybe something in it.

I can't see it, he's worked hard to be the number 1 here and there's not many places he could go where he would be at this level.

If we hadn't gone up I think it's certain he would have left. Maybe he'll move on after this season. He's 27 now so just coming into the peak of his career, perhaps he wants to secure the Number 1 spot at a mid-table Prem club.

He already has the No. 1 spot at a mid-table Prem club.

i would cry if we lost feds, i agree with the other posters that i dont believe for a second that he will go though. he has been with this club for far to long and put to much work in to leave now. also we took him when no other club would and we made him into something. i wouldnt want ANYONE else between the posts other than mccarthy, but only if feds was injured. feds is way to good for us to let go of him now.

Can't see this somehow. Feds knows he acted like a bit of a fool with that crigeworthy 'come and get me' interview. Being in the Premier League is what he wanted, and that is where he is.

id say he's good enough as a no1 at all prem clubs even the top 4

Could this be a known happening, and therefore explain why we have been linked with so many goalkeepers in the past few weeks?

...if he's modelling the new kit at 9am this morning then I'd say no basis for rumour....if it's Alex McCarthy then speculation will increase ...

As far as I'm aware, lots of reserve goalies have modelled the kit in the past...

Alex McCarthy modeled the kit last season. Although while we're on the topic I'm surprised I haven't heard anything linking Adam to other clubs. He's great! He was easily the best Championship keeper last season in my opinion. I'd be guted if he left, not to mention a little sour; I mean he's in the prem now, isn't that what he wanted?
