Staff not paid at RFC

I always take something I've heard third hand with a large dose of salt but I'm told staff at Reading weren't paid on Friday. I can't verify that and I don't know if that includes players and/or backroom staff so it can be no more than idle gossip on my part. Any activity before the end of the transfer window on our part with players coming in will go some way to discrediting this rumour, and no activity doesn't necessarily mean it's true either. Worth watching though.

The source might well have been a Mr Adkins, who was not paid for January despite it being his most effective month since joining the club.

I heard the not paid rumor slightly differently. I was told that although they did get paid it was very touch and go.
Ive alos heard that SJM now enjoys a rather nice Salary from the Club.

Hardly anyone would know if it was 'touch and go', and it the finances were so tight is is likely we'd have taken on two extra wages , one within a couple of days of us apparantly not paying what we already have.
FWIW I know someone who works at the club in a casual, pay as you work capacity, exactly the sort of person who would have been the very lowest priority if there was an issue, and they were paid on time.
Not saying there may not have been something, but seems odd.
