Reading are keeping tabs on French defender William Remy.
The 24-year-old currently plays for Ligue 2 side Dijon and is out of contract in the summer.
Remy, who is also said to be interesting Blackburn Rovers, came through the youth ranks at Linas Montlhery before sealing a move to Lens.
He spent four years at the Stade de la Licorne before moving to Dijon in 2012.
The centre-back has represented France at U17, U18 and U19 level.
Royals are stepping up their scouting network across Europe following the appointment of Tony Spearing as head scout.
When Spearing arrived in February, boss Steve Clarke said: “He has an extensive knowledge of European players, and coupled with his network of contacts at home and abroad, will be an important part of my staff going forward.”
Reading are also watching 22-year-old Porto defender David Bruno.
