However Adkins wanted Hooper in our first season back at this level, sadly someone had wasted all the money already.

Last season at the Madejski I shouted 'Gary, Gary, you're shit!' and he shouted 'Cheers mate' as he ran past. He then had a chance later in the game, which he missed.

I stand by my initial point and I'm glad that I can get that anecdote into a thread organically.

When I was 8 I scored 51 in 20 in the peter houseman youth league which I believe is an SPL equivalent (If not a slightly better standard)

Doesn't mean I could score goals in a competitive division which is getting better every year.
