Has Brian changed?

by paddy20 » 21 Jan 2016 09:21

Anyone think we have a different Brian to the one we had before? It it possible that the previous sacking and the Leeds experience has had an effect?
Just thinking that his evasive post match commentaries, his rather ascerbic responses to questions from Charlie & Tim and his inferred criticism of the Thai owners regarding the failed acquisition of Connor Washington. Add to that his lack of any explanations as to why players like Quinn and Sa are not even considered at the moment.

This seems like a very different personality to the open and straightforward Brian we knew of old.

Nope, exactly the same as when we werent doing well under him before.

Tbf. If you keep firing moronic questions, when u know he isnt going to slag his own players or talk about transfers before they are done, at him hes going to get a bit snappy.

I would say that Brian is, fundamentally, the same person but with a bit more steel now. A very good man manager who is in the process of sorting the wheat from the chaff. And in terms of his responses....let's face it some of the questions put to him by Watts and Tellor are so predictably mind numbing that I bet he thinks 'seriously, have I really got to spell out the obvious'. I think that he is also very good at protecting his players and his faith in Vyds seems to be paying off. As well as his comments about Fernandez being one of the nicest blokes he's ever met. In terms of Sa and Quinny.....currently left reading between the lines.

Aside from the above comments, has he learned from his limitations last time around. It feels a little more like he knows what he's looking to do and may be more adaptable to get there..

He is perhaps slightly balder than his previous incarnation.

Other than that, no change.

I think he may have gone evangelical. He wants to fill his side with good samaritans like Kermogant. No bad boys anymore.

I'd hope he's changed.
He's an intelligent man. If he hasn't learned anything from his time with us, his experiences at Leeds and his job at Arsenal then he's got a problem. Of course he's changed, like we've all changed in the last 3 years.

I think he's a bit slimmer now.
