B) Was he ever good? I've never heard of him, although see he did get called up to the national team. He's only like 26 after all. Can play CM, CAM or LM and is left footed according to transfermarkt.

Equally Stam said in his presser that after Moore he's only looking to get 1 more in before deadline day, which if true, would have to be a striker or left back over the already populous midfield spots.

A few years back iirc he was definitely a big player in the dutch league but hadn't heard anything about him since and Ajax fans just wanted rid of him.
