In understand that Borini (winger), Jack Wilshere, Asamoah, Strinich ( left back) and Watmore are all free agents that #ReadingFC have been offered/ have spoken too. Andre Green is another but he looks set to join another club.

I think he might work in the system we have since we let our wingers stay narrow. But if we’re after creativity rather than an end product he’s definitely not the answer.

Borini is another decent player but not quite sure where he’d fit in. Too many players in recent years bought for the sake of it and not really fitted in anywhere. Would prefer a natural winger personally

Almost every free agent will have been offered to us at some point. 34 now and pretty well stocked at the back so hope it was a polite thanks but no thanks.

I think pretty much every window we're linked with a player with a bad injury record, and somebody chimes in that they could accept a pay as you play, which never ever comes to pass.

Are there any serious precedents? Looking from Wilshere's perspective, a bigger Championship club or SPL may be bold enough to offer a proper contract based upon his undoubted ability. Our pay as you play offer wouldn't see the light of day.
