Savage leaving would be by far the worst of our long-term contracted players - he's the youngest, continuously improving and contracted until 2027.

Does seem to simply be a name they've plucked out of thin air though based on that article.

Don't Man Utd have a huge sell-on clause so we'd not see much in the way of fees for him?

Is a club "tracking" him really news? Targets can be monitored for a long time before a club thinks it's worth making a move. He's not ready to make an immediate impact at Sheffield United, so I can only see them trying with a bargain basement bid due to our financial situation. If the prospective buyer puts in funds, or we sell Bindon for a good fee, you'd think the likelihood is over for this window.

We got him for no transfer fee as long as we gave Man Utd a 50% sell on fee

Apart from any outside influences and his agent, of course, Charlie's dad will also play a big part in any future decisions. It would seem that the size of the squad has created a very close knit bunch and that any departures will more than likely revolve around the club's finances.
