SPECULATION - Sorensen wouldn't he be a quality purchase????

by loyalroyal4life » 19 Dec 2007 10:44

With sorensen saying he is looking to move on to pastures new, surely he would be a decent acquisition for us?

I m sure he would be an ideal no.1 goalkeeper as USA's performances have been poor overall

Yeah.. He played so badly against Birmingham. I think we should hang him.

Alwayd thought he's a good keeper and it certainly looks like he and his agent are trying to engineer a January move away from Villa.

I'd be pleased to see him added to the squad.

Isn't he about the same age as Hahnemann?

If a good two or three years younger, then yes, while we find that young keeper to come through and pressure the No. 1 Jersey effectively.

Its pretty obvious really - Villa and Man City will be looking to shift a bundle of players that aren't bad. Almost anyone from one of those two sides will at least add to the squad, if not improve it.

Ideal Sørensen used to be classy. I wonder what went wrong.
Perhaps he could be a good signing for us if he were to rediscover his form.

Hanging round with English premiership players, doing drugs, drinkin too much and getting tattoos probably.

Its hard to judge USA though as one week he will have an absolute stinker and then the next week at Brum he makes some top draw saves......

Exactement. Free transfer for a 31 year old International goalkeeper who has played in the top league all his career. He must be shite.

What?

All players that are not automatic first choices are all shite then?

Villa, Man City and Everton especially will all be looking to build on their impressive starts and will be letting top players leave. We should be sniffing around like a starving vulture

Is there any evidence to suggest Villa are up for selling him?

Wouldn't be a bad addition, especially as he'd only be making mostly short trips for internationals rather than hoofing it to and fro accross the atlantic.

He's not even second choice at Villa, which says it all.

So even two top draw performances from Hahnemann in a row, in a season where he really hasn't been that bad given the quality of the defence in front of a lot of the time, can't convince his detractors that he is anything but utter shite.

How sad.

PS Sorenson is pretty good, but I see no reason currently to get him. Though in the summer we'll probably need a high quality replacement for Hahnemann. He still has a season or two left in him, but he'll need a quality defence to prove it.

This thread was written a few days ago in fairness. Not just that but it's thinking a bit longer term and also it's a very good player, in our price range aka NOTHING who wants to leave his current club.
